WERNSHAUSEN
Wernshausen is my Nößler and Malsch family home in Germany.
The first known Nößler ancestor moved there from the nearby town of Alt-Breitungen in 1694. Today there are many Nößler's and Malsch's in both towns. My great grand father Johann Casper Nößler, his wife Christiane Malsch Nößler, their first child (Karoline Ernestine), and Christiane's parents (Johann Sebastion and Barbara Elizabeth Herrmann Malsch) left the port of Bremen on March 29, 1860. They traveled on the bark Atalanta on the "between deck" and landed in New York on May 8, 1860 They arrived in
Power's Lake, Walworth County, Wisconsin soon after, where they lived until 1870 when they and their then 6 children homesteaded in Lyons, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Here you will find a growing body of data about Wernshausen and my Nößler and Malsch ancestors. I have begun to upload an interactive genealogy with photographs and it is progressing slowly. I add a few folks each time I find the time. Please check back often as this site is new and growing often. Last updated August 29, 2007
